"Just look at all the fantastic stuff you can

do and see in and

around Swakopmund, along the Skeleton
Coast and in the remainder of Namibia!

There are never enough weeks in vacations to enjoy it all in one go ...

best you stay with us at the Giardino, relax in

the garden, and spoil yourself with a 'lekker' gourmet dinner and a bottle of wine while deciding what to do.

Once you had your first taste of this "addictive" country, I'll guess we'll soon talk about your NEXT visit ..."

Swakopmund in an ideal base from where to explore
Namibia's central, western, and southern regions as well as
for adventure and sports activities along the Skeleton Coast.

Scenic flights along the Skeleton Coast, to the Sossusvlei in the southern Namib-Naukluft-Park and to the Himba people in Kaokoland.

Guided 4x4 excursions to the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, into the dune belts and gravel plains around Swakopmund for exploring desert fauna and flora, for birding in the Walvis Bay Lagoon and in Sandwich Harbour, for sightseeing of pre-historic rock art in the rugged Spitzkoppe, Erongo and Brandberg Mountains, and for rhino trekking in the Ugab River Valley.

Some of these excursions may be undertaken individually, on a self-drive basis, but may require hiring a local guide at the destination to access places of interest.

Rock climbing at the Spitzkoppe Mountains, beach/surf and deep-sea fishing, marine cruises for close encounters with dolphins, seals and sea birds, kayaking, horse riding, paragliding, quad-bike trails, hiking and much more under professional guidance.

Experience township-life and Namibia's ethnic groups in rural areas during guided half-day and overnight excursions from Swakopmund and Windhoek.

In Swakopmund, the visitor finds historic buildings, like the Woerman House, museums and art galleries, modern shopping & business centres and residential areas, traditional crafts markets and entertainment next to scenic sea-side promenades, secluded beaches and romantic sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean - at the doorstep of the Namib Desert.

Within a day's drive from Swakopmund, game-rich wilderness areas such as the Etosha National Park and Damaraland in the north of Namibia can be reached. A full-day's drive south takes visitors into the magnificent landscapes of the Hardap and Karas Regions with their strange vegetation, like the quiver tree,  huge communal weaverbird nests, and impressive desert-and-mountain sceneries.
